Klepper, Hahn and Hyatt is seeking a part-time administrative assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work approximately 24 hours a week assisting the Office Administrator, Principals, and staff with a wide range of administrative and project coordination support activities to ensure efficient operations of the firm.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned which are also considered to be essential to the employment position as deemed necessary by a Principal.)

  • Perform front desk reception duties including handling all inquiries within capacity; Answering incoming calls and routing calls to appropriate person; Greeting and acknowledging visitors in a timely, hospitable, and friendly manner; Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages; Prepare and send outgoing correspondence and packages by mail and delivery service.
  • Provide ongoing administrative support to technical staff as requested to support firm objectives. This includes, but is not limited to, photocopying, scanning, and filing; performing research; and assisting in the planning of meetings, presentations, and other events or special projects.
  • Write, edit, and proofread technical documents for spelling, grammar, and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.
  • Maintain and update various administrative and marketing databases, logs, and calendars.
  • Provide assistance with marketing efforts, including assisting in developing and producing proposal packages, presentations, promotional materials, and digital marketing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, a college degree is preferred
  • One to three years related experience
  • Ability to proofread for grammar, spelling, and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Mature, detail-oriented, team player with a high degree of self-motivation
  • Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
  • Valid driver license

The ideal candidate will be a licensed engineer with a strong interest in structural engineering of buildings and architectural design and is committed to professional growth and excellence. Essential Functions:

  • Analyze and design structural steel, concrete, masonry, cold-formed steel, and wood-framed structures in conformance with governing building codes and design standards
  • Conduct structural condition assessments of existing building and parking structures and prepare engineering reports
  • Collaboratively work with other project team members to prepare contract documents
  • Prepare neat and organized engineering calculations
  • Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines, architectural teams, and contractors
  • Perform construction administration phase services (submittal review, respond to RFI’s, conduct site visits, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university located in the United States of America
  • 3+ years of experience in the design of building structures
  • Currently licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.)
  • Proficiency with current industry software, including RISA, Enercalc, TEDDS, AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)

  • Ensure successful project delivery through leading and organizing the project team, planning the work, delegating responsibilities, monitoring progress, confirming compliance with QA/QC protocols, and managing project deliverables

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university located in the United States of America
  • 6+ years of experience in the design of building structures
  • Currently licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.)
  • Proficiency with current industry software, including RISA, Enercalc, TEDDS, AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
  • Some knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit, or ability to efficiently work with engineering staff and AutoCAD Drafters and/or BIM Technicians to produce contract documents
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a design team to develop coordinated contract documents within deadlines and project budget
  • Must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on multiple challenges at a time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Valid driver license

  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver license
